12 Days Of Blogmas!! Day 3: Custom Tree Decorations

On the third day of Christmas, the TheHarviePost gave to me, a tutorial on how to make mini Christmas tree's using button's to hang on your actual Christmas tree to make it more personal.

I'm actually stealing the idea off my mum who saw this on Facebook and decided to recreate it herself so, shoutout to mum for the idea! All you need to create this mini festive decoration is a few burgundy buttons that are all the same size, this will be for the base/trunk. For the tree, you can use either the same colour or mix it up and have different shades of green, but make sure you have a variety or sizes.

Firstly you want to thread your red buttons on the string but make sure you thread each end of the string through opposite holes as that will create a loop where you can put the branch through to allow the decoration to hang. Once all the red buttons have been threaded, start with the biggest green button and then work your way through to the smallest one.

Now you have your tree and it looks amazing, but its missing something... a star!! You could use a star button which is perfect or you could buy a kids bracelet with stars on it and unthread it for just the stars and then thread that on top. A bracelet however, doesn't always give you a yellow star but if you wanted multicoloured stars on top, that'd look just as good.

Loads of people have made these little gems and you don't have to stick with green, if you've got a white tree, then you can make mini white ones or multicoloured to make them stand out!! These are some examples people have done and shared online!!

That will be it for this blog!! send me pictures if you've made some yourself, see you in a couple of days!!
