12 Days Of Blogmas!! Day 8: Christmas Activities
On the eighth day of Blogmas, TheHarviePost gave to me, a few ideas to get into the Christmas spirit!!
Here are a few activities you and your friends and family can do around Christmas to be more festive!!
Ice Skating
Now this may not be for everyone but it's an activity that is a lot of fun if you know how to skate! Ice skating is a great activity to do with your friends or family. Whether you've never ice skated before or if you're a pro, this is something different to do!! However, if you fall over on the ice, not only does it hurt but you get a wet bottom for the remainder of the day so it's probably best if you leave this activity till last so it doesn't look like you've wet yourself!! Around south east London, there's a few ice rinks still open despite the coronavirus restrictions, there is a couple of ice rinks at Bluewater and Lakeside Shopping centre and there's also a beautiful ice rink at Greenwich park!!
Christmas Markets
Although there is no Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park this year, there are still alternatives at Bluewater and Lakeside which will offer the same magical feeling just outside of London!! There are multiple stalls selling a variety of item from homemade decorations to gift ideas. Not to forget the food stands with endless choices, Bratwurst to mulled wine! There is nothing better than taking a stroll around a magical market and getting into the Christmas spirit!!
Christmas Lights
Christmas would not be the same if lights weren't part of the decoration!! Twinkle strings lights and big light figures, there's just something about them that that give a place a magical feel! An idea that is great for the family or with a group of friends depending on the government guidelines is to go for a long drive around London looking at all of the Christmas displays and lights or some Taxi drivers are offering to do tours around London for small groups of people and take you to the best displays in the city!!
