12 Days Of Christmas!! Day 4: Top 5 Christmas Films

On the fourth day of Christmas, TheHarviePost gave to me, the 5 top Christmas films!!

Let's waste no time and dive straight into my top 5 Christmas films so we can watch them all before Christmas is over!!

5: How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Coming in at number 5, we have The Grinch. A character that had me hiding under the blankets and behind the sofa when I was a kid! But now it's golden Christmas film perfect for all ages! Based on a fictional book by the amazing Dr Seuss, it's about the Grinch plotting to ruin Christmas so that people find out the true meaning of the festivities instead of the presents and decorations! There's been many recreations of the film but none have ever been as good as the Jim Carey classic.

4: Love Actually

A romantic comedy with a cast list that is insane!! It has everyone from Mr Bean (Rowan Atkinson) to Stacey from Gavin And Stacey (Joanna Page). The film is based on love and how it works out for some people and for others it doesn't, leading up to Christmas - it is a hectic time! Such a joy to watch with many iconic and relatable moments!

3: Polar Express

In bronze place is The Polar Express. A dramatic train journey all the way to The North Pole to see Santa before he flies away to deliver all the presents across the world but who will be the lucky child to get the first present of Christmas. This festive family film will have you all dying for hot chocolates and to be tucked up warm and cosy. The main role of the conductor is played by the incredible Tom Hanks who you may know from Forest Gump or Toy Story as Woody. If you were picked to be the first child to receive any gift from Santa, what would you get, let me know!

2: Elf

Receiving the silver medal in my top 5 is Elf. A golden Christmas film that has to be played every year no question! A festive film suitable for any age that will get you into the Christmas spirit even when the title screen is still playing. It's about a human that was raised by elves who goes to New York to find his family and turns the dad, who's a bit of a Scrooge, into enjoying Christmas time with his family. Will Ferrell will have you and the whole family in stitches!!

1: Home Alone

And the top spot goes to this Christmas classic that will make the whole family cry with laughter. Although there's like 3 sequels of Home Alone, nothing beats the first one. The second one is pretty good with them travelling to New York but when they changed the cast, it was never the same! If you haven't seen it, it's about a kid - Kevin who wishes to live alone without his family who then forget him as they leave to go on a holiday to Paris for Christmas. Whilst his family is away, he has the freedom to do whatever he pleases until a couple of burglars try to rob his house. In order to protect his house, Kevin sets up loads of traps like pouring water down stairs so that it turns to ice and heating the doorknob so when they try to open the door, their hands burn. I fully recommend watching it if you have an evening to snuggle up warm this Christmas!!

And that's it for day 4, hope you enjoyed and let me know if you would change any of my order! See you in a couple days for day 5!!
